The Board has eleven members and meets twice a year to review ongoing activities, to schedule fund raising events, to receive student progress reports, to review the budget and to plan other activities. Board members work on a voluntary basis and absorb most of the operational costs of the Foundation such as postage, printing, communications, and trips to Colombia to award the scholarships. Other costs such as banking and registration fees represent about 1.2% of the total budget.
